MaterialsXpertise is founded by Mariëlle Laimböck-Wouters in 2016. It is her ambition to help researchers, formulators, process designers and quality controllers to understand the behavior of their formulations in the processes and products applied. Structure-property relations play a key role in the performance of materials. Therefore it is important  to use dedicated equipment and measuring protocols for material characterisation.

After her PhD study at Eindhoven University of Technology, Mariëlle started her carreer at the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research (TNO) as scientist in the field of coatings and adhesives. Over the past 15 years she has active in the field of materials synthesis, formulation and characterisation. During her career she developed various tools to mimic the behaviour of the material in the applied production process to understand the materials behaviour.

Mariëlle is a dedicated, result driven person, with strong communication skills which may help you to understand your materials performance. Her key competences are rheology, surface tension and (nano)particle analysis.
